US Bank Offering Western Union - US Bank, a subsidiary of US Bancorp announced a partnership to make Western Union money remittance services available at 2,791 branch offices across 24 U.S.A. states by May, 2009.

Under the terms of the agreement, consumers are to be connected to over 334,000 Western Union Agent locations across the world and will be able to make domestic or cross border money transfers in 200 countries. The initiative, which in the future is to target US Bank online customers as well, is part of Western Union's initiative to gain access to consumer banking channels such as cash-to-cash, account-to-cash, and account-to-account.
